This Labor of love, that I have been fortunate to be collaborating for the last 2 years on with my friend and confidant Erica Mott and composer and vocal techniques deviser Fides Krucker, will be getting it’s Chicago premier after an epic world premier in Krakow, Poland and Cricoteka, the Tadeusz Kantor Museum. With video projections by John Boesche, set and scenic design by Leigh Breslau and Todd Clark, Costume Design by Kristin Mariani, and dramaturgy by Ginger Farley, 3 Singers is a multi-media technopera exploring the female body’s relationship with machinery, commodity, and labor organization in the historic and contemporary textile industries.
With 8 performances over 2 weekends, there are plenty of opportunities to see the show. Tickets are $20 and $15 for students and seniors. Opening night tickets are $25 and include an open reception event to kick off an exhibition that is designed to accompany the performance that will run through the end of the month.
